Monday 4th September – walks **** Sunrise prom and around Felixstowe with Maeva – Sunny and hot.

Walk 1 – sunrise prom

As we are having Maeva later today we decided to get up early and have a sunrise walk along Felixstowe prom:) I left home at 5.50 a little before Mag who I meet on the prom just after 6, I was a fraction late getting out as the sky was already lovely colours! We then set off towards The Fludyers as the red ball of the sun showed its face at 6.13, the sun up we turned and returned through the Spa Gardens, up onto the cliff and home. We were going to meet Maeva at 2 but that was brought forward to 11.15 which just gave me enough time to do my exercises.

Walk 2 – around Felixstowe.

After picking up Maeva from her mum in Walton High Street we then ambled slowly in the heat to Abbey Gardens just missing seeing a deer. We did a circuit of the Grove woods struggling to get the buggy through in places! Even though Maeva was tired she stayed awake for the whole time loving the trees. Back home we had a lovely time playing with Maeva, she did get some sleep in the end and her dad picked her up at 7.15 by which time I had headed down to Felixstowe Ferry to get some sunset pics which was ok but needed more clouds in the sky. I then took a few of the new Ferris wheel before heading home. I had one of my pics chosen as a BBC editors pick but sadly it did not make it onto the TV perhaps, I will have more luck with the sunset ones, fingers crossed!
It is still looking promising for a windsurf foil tomorrow as the heatwave continues!
